Now I feel really caught up

If you really want to know what I have been up to over the past two years of very sparse blog entries, well, here it is.  Well, not all of it, I guess, if you want to include homeschooling, daily discipling and raising children, keeping home in many myriad ways, shuttling people to and fro, going on vacations and small trips, etc.  But these, I think are some of the prettiest!  Enjoy!

A Few Minutes of Quiet

I have just a few moments to sit. I can't sit for long or I may never get up. But just for a moment I thought I might sit and tackle this blog thing again.

And here you can see my companion while I type. Another round of hot coffee on this cold and gray afternoon.

Do you see that pretty cup? I bought two of these with their saucers on eBay a week or so ago. Not too long ago I was thinking about the dishes we ate on growing up. My mom got rid of them, but I was hopeful that maybe she had kept just a few. Nope. We both like to purge and clean out and so I am not surprised. Feeling sentimental, I perused eBay for a piece I might use. Coffee cups! I am thrilled. I love having this memory. And I love coffee.

I had a wonderful weekend away with a precious friend. I have always loved reading her blog and back when I used to blog more (at all) she read mine. We met. Now we are friends. I always like that her blog is just a wonderful chronicling of her daily life. Lots of photos. Some words. Much like a scrapbook. I am inspired to work on my blog in that manner. While I would like to share deep thoughts and ponderings, I can't. I just don't have the effort it would require for me to organize them here. So maybe this journal of sorts would be much better.

Today has been a pretty good day back at life after my weekend away, despite cranky people at times and a clogged kitchen sink. My friend Laura and I spent much time talking and sharing and I too felt ready to tackle this mom life anew.

Have a beautiful day!
