A little advice...

from a father to his eldest son during a Friday night showing of Bambi.

As Jacob crawls under a nearby chair,

Brian: Jacob, if you want to watch Star Wars someday you might need to be able to sit through Bambi.

Brian and I smile and laugh. And then we rejoice that our children still possess a sweet innocence. I know this ignorance of much of this world's madness won't last forever, but I cherish it now while it lasts.

I remember crying after seeing Bambi as a little kid. It scared me too.

Nicholas is scared of the combine harvester and the neon cars in Cars.

It is kind of nice knowing that our kids aren't aware of all that "stuff" out there.

Crafty mom-
I had to laugh. My three oldest kids are terrified of the combine! Aslynn thinks there is a combine in her room now, and the boys always say they want to watch, "Light-a-queen" but not the combine part.

I haven't watched Bambi in ages. Good idea.

So funny!!

A few months ago, before Roan was born and we were in San Diego, our hotel room had a t.v. in the "kids room" portion of the suite. Paxton called out to me, "Hey mom! They said don't go anywhere! There's going to be another episode coming up just for me!"

Can you tell we don't watch t.v.? ;)

My boys were the same way at that age. They grow up too quickly.
