The New Room

I am not sure how a room with two beds before now looks bigger and has more floor space with three beds. It's like the miracle of the multiplication of loaves and fish. The kids are loving their rearranged space and Andrew is doing beautifully with the transition. And Jacob is doing a super job making his top bunk! And Mommy? Well, she gets her early morning workout making the other two beds.

I love it! That arrangement looks great and it even gives Andrew a side rail without actually having to attach one. How does Jacob like sleeping on that top bunk? I bet Nicole is liking it, too. I can remember sleeping on my brother's bottom bunk and it felt like being in a tent. So much fun!

I love that room SO MUCH!!! I was so sad that you didn't post pictures of it on your other post, I was dying to see how it turned out! All of your rearranging sounds so awesome. You've totally given me some ideas about how I might be able to make better use of our own space. Hmmmm.... :)

I wonder, too: how does Jacob like sleeping up top? We once tried bunk beds for Dylan and Caitlyn (for about three hours, before the thought of Dylan sleeping so high up completely freaked me out!) We ended up separating them into two twin beds before they ever even slept in them! Now the girls share a room, but oh my goodness. I bet we could arrange one room very similar to yours and open up an entire bedroom as a school/playroom!!!! (I love coming up with new ways to squeeze more useable space out of our small square footage!)

Thanks for posting the pictures, their room looks great! And I LOVE their bedding, by the way. So colorful!

Ditto on the bedding! A great way to make a room shared by boys and girls look child-friendly, yet cohesive. Nick just moved to the big boy bed too, and is doing marvelously. The nice part is he comes to me in the middle of the night rather than my having to go get him. The bad part is that if he doesn't outgrow this habit soon, it is going to be much harder to get him to stay in his room.

For right now it works for us.

We too have been busy rearranging. Must be the warm spring air!!
